President visits Shah Jalal Shrine

Sylhet Office : President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has visited the shrine of Hazrat Shah Jalal (RA) in Sylhet on Tuesday afternoon and offered prayers for the peace, prosperity and well-being of the country and its people.
The president arrived at the shrine around 1PM after reaching Sylhet by air. He first went to the Sylhet Circuit House, where he was given a guard of honour at around noon.
After receiving the guard of honour, the president left for the shrine of Hazrat Shah Jalal (RA). Following the ziyarat, he joined a munajat.
Security has been tightened around the Shah Jalal and Shah Paran shrine areas ahead of the president’s visit. Members of law enforcement agencies were deployed at the shrines and surrounding areas.
After visiting the Shah Jalal shrine, the president is scheduled to visit the shrine of Hazrat Shah Paran (RA). He is then expected to return to the Sylhet Circuit House for a short rest.
In the afternoon, the president is scheduled to attend a civic reception in his honour. He is expected to leave Sylhet for Dhaka in the evening.
