Minor girl drowns in Sunamganj

An18 months-old girl drowned in a water body at Madhyanagar upazila in Sunamganj district on Saturday morning.

The incident happened at around 8:30 AM in Gulgau village under Bongshikundanorth union in the upazila.

The deceased was identified as Toamani, daughter of Rafikul, a resident of the area.

It was learnt that the child drowned in a water body next to her house while her family members were engaged in other activities.

Md Imran Hossain, officer-in-charge of Madhyanagar Police Station, confirmed the incident.
