Popular actor Mosharraf Karim has won the Best Actor Award for the second time at the “Bioscope Star Award 2026”, recognising his acclaimed performance in Tanim Noor-directed film “Bonolota Express”.
The 14th edition of the “Bioscope Star Award” was held on Monday at the Bishwa Sahitya Kendra auditorium in the capital’s Bangla Motor.
Daily Sun journalist Md Jahidul Islam and actor-director Shamim Zaman handed over the award to Mosharraf Karim as the guests.
The event brought together leading artistes, producers and crew members from Bangladesh’s drama and film industries.
Receiving the award, Mosharraf Karim said, “There is nothing greater for an artiste than the love of the audience. The award is a beautiful expression of that love and recognition. This honour has made me happy, and at the same time, it has inspired me to do new and better work.”
He also expressed gratitude to director Tanim Noor, his co-artistes and the entire team of Bonolota Express, emphasising that a successful production is the result of collective effort.
In Bonolota Express, Mosharraf Karim delivers a nuanced portrayal of a character grappling with complex emotions, inner conflicts and psychological tension. His restrained performance, distinctive dialogue delivery and deep engagement with the character have earned praise from both audiences and critics.
