The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the full schedule for the 2027 Men’s Cricket World Cup, with Bangladesh set to begin their campaign against England in Windhoek on October 8. The 14-team tournament will be jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia from October 2 to November 21, 2027, with 57 matches to be played across 12 venues.
Bangladesh have been placed in Group B alongside New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, England and Qualifier B. The Tigers will play five matches in the group stage, starting with England before facing New Zealand, Sri Lanka, South Africa and the yet-to-be-determined Qualifier B.
Bangladesh’s first match against England will be played at the Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek on October 8. They will then travel to KuGompo City to face New Zealand on October 12, before taking on Sri Lanka in Durban on October 16. Their fourth match will be against hosts South Africa in Durban on October 19, while their final group-stage fixture will be against Qualifier B in Tshwane on October 23.
Under the new format, the top three teams from each group will advance to the Super 7, joined by the better-performing fourth-placed team. The seven teams will then play a single round-robin competition, with the top four progressing to the semi-finals.
The World Cup will open with a three-team Super Series in Namibia from October 2 to 6, which will determine the final team entering the Group Stage. The Group Stage will run from October 7 to 24, followed by the Super 7 from October 25 to November 14. The semi-finals are scheduled for November 17 and 18, while the final will be held in Johannesburg on November 21.
