River Police Chief among 5 addl IGPs sent on retirement

The government has sent River Police Chief Kusum Dewan and four Additional Inspectors General of Police (IGPs) of Bangladesh Police into compulsory retirement.
The information was disclosed through five separate notifications signed by Senior Secretary of the Police-1 branch under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Manjur Morshed Chowdhury, on Monday (March 9).
The four other officials are Additional IGP (OSD) at Police Headquarters Abu Hasan Muhammad Tariq; Additional IGP (OSD) at Police Headquarters Mohammad Abdul Alim Mahmud; TR at Police Headquarters Md Masudur Rahman Bhuiyan; and Principal of the Bangladesh Police Academy in Rajshahi’s Sardah, Additional IGP Md Tawfique Mahbub Chowdhury.
