Indian goods worth Tk 17.29 lakh seized in Sunamganj

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized various types of Indian smuggled goods worth over Tk 17.29 lakh from different frontier areas of the district early Saturday.
Confirming the matter, Sunamganj BGB-28 battalion commander Lt Col AKM Zakaria Kadir said that a team of RAB, acting on a tip off, conducted drives at different places including Laurgarh, Charagaon, Banshtala, Bangaon, Chinakandi, Tekerghat, Baganbari, Chanpur, Chinakandi and Chinaura and seized the smuggled goods.
The sgoods including betel leaf, betel nut, sugar, cattle, coal, bidi, motorbike and CNG-run three-wheeler worth over Tk 17.29 lakh were handed over to the concerned customs office, he added.
