No metro rail service on Eid day

Authorities have decided to stop metro rail service on Eid day (June 7).
An official notice, issued by Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) director AKM Kahyrul Amin, confirmed the matter on Wednesday (June 4).
The train services will remain available from 8:30AM on June 8.
The announcement comes as many city dwellers prepare for the festive holiday, with thousands expected to leave the capital or head out to visit loved ones.
However, from June 9, the metro rail will operate as usual according to the public holiday schedule.
