Ex-lawmaker Mostofa Jalal Mohiuddin arrested from Mohammadpur

Police have arrested the Dhaka-7 constituency’s former Awami League lawmaker Mostofa Jalal Mohiuddin from Mohammadpur in the capital.
He was arrested early Monday from the area by a team of Detective Branch (DB) of police.
Mohiuddin, also the president of Bangladesh Medical Associations (BMA), was shown arrested under the Special Power Act, said Dhaka Metropolitan Deputy Commissioner for Media and Public Relations Muhammad Talebur Rahman.
He was an accused in number of cases, including murder, related to the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, Talebur Rahman added.
