Tk100 cr defamation case filed against Shomi Kaiser

Magistrate Assaduzzaman Nur will pass an appropriate order on the issue after recording statement of the compliant.On information, Nuzhatul Hasan went to a police station of the capital to file a law suit against Shomi. But police refused to take the case. Then Nuzhatul appeared at the court to file the case.
Shomi Kaiser, also the president of e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB), lost her two cell phones during an event at the National Press Club, where she was giving a speech on April 24.
Right after that incident, her security guards locked the gate and searched all the journalists and guests.
On April 25, different journalists’ forums including Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ), Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ), and Dhaka Reporters’ Unity (DRU) condemned actor Shomi Kaiser’s attitude towards journalists and demanded a public apology from her.
On the same day, Shomi Kaiser apologised for her misbehaviour with the journalists over the issue of theft of her two smart phones from the Press Club.
