The annual publication and prestigious awards gala dinner will celebrate the achievements, contributions and inspirational stories of the British Bangladeshi community.
The Bangla Mirror Group, publishers of the prestigious British Bangladeshi Who’s Who, has officially launched its 2026 edition at a press conference held at the Seminar Room, London Muslim Centre, East London.
The launch announced the forthcoming publication and awards gala dinner, which will take place at the prestigious Meridian Grand on Tuesday, 17 November 2026.
Now celebrating its 17th year, the British Bangladeshi Who’s Who continues its mission of recognising and celebrating the outstanding achievements of individuals from the British Bangladeshi community.
First published in 2008, the publication was established to highlight the contributions, successes and inspirational journeys of British Bangladeshis across a wide range of professional and business sectors.
Although relatively small in comparison with other South Asian communities in the UK, British Bangladeshis have made significant contributions to the country’s economy and society, spanning numerous industries, including the highly respected curry industry.
The community is home to an abundance of exceptional talent and achievement, much of which remains
unrecognised. The British Bangladeshi Who’s Who aims to address this by providing a platform to celebrate individuals whose dedication, hard work and accomplishments deserve wider recognition.
Over the years, the publication and its annual awards gala dinner have grown significantly in profile and reputation, attracting prominent personalities from politics, government, business, the media and other professional sectors.
The 2026 edition promises to be another landmark celebration, featuring an exciting selection of new faces and emerging talent alongside several eagerly anticipated awards. The gala dinner is expected to welcome high-profile dignitaries, celebrities and guests from across the UK to celebrate the achievements and diversity of the British Bangladeshi community.

Founder highlights the publication’s growing legacy
Abdul Karim Goni, founder of the publication, said: “The Publication and Awards Ceremony is now an important date in the calendar for British Bangladeshis. I am thrilled that it is our brainchild that we can now use to recognise individuals in our community. We are celebrating the 17th year of this publication launch and gala dinner.”
Reflecting on the publication’s journey, he added: “From humble beginnings, the publication and gala event have firmly positioned themselves as leaders in providing an all-inclusive celebration of the British Bangladeshi community, growing at an exponential rate.
“We have discovered some of the real gems of our community. As the publication continues to grow, we also face the challenge of limiting the number of profiles to a sensible quantity. The reality is that there is an abundance of successful British Bangladeshis, each with their own unique stories and inspirational journeys.
“The publication features a variety of individuals from different walks of life, representing the wealth of success to be celebrated within this unique and wonderful community.
“I hope you enjoy this edition and that it marks the first of many milestones for our publication.”

Executive Editor celebrates the community’s achievements
Suhana Ahmed, Executive Editor of the British Bangladeshi Who’s Who, said: “This year we celebrate the 17th year of this important publication. The publication has really gone from strength to strength. When it started, the founders could only have dreamt that it would continue and grow at the rate it has.
“It amazes me that, sixteen years on, we continue to unearth some real talent within our community. I hope you enjoy this year’s publication and appreciate the success of our award winners.”
