Mirror Desk : A seminar on the current state of journalism will be held at the Queen Mary University of London on Wednesday afternoon.
Syed Badrul Ahasan, editor-in-charge of The Asian Age, will attend the seminar – Journalism in today’s world – as the keynote speaker.
It is scheduled to start from 5pm local time.
Duncan Bartlett, former BBC journalist and editor of Asian Affairs Magazine, Syed Nahas Pasha, vice-president of Commonwealth Journalists Association, and Muhammed Abdus Sattar, editor-at-large of Shottobani are the panel speakers.
Bangladesh High Commissioner Sadia Muna Tasneem is scheduled to attend the seminar as the guest of honour.
Abu Musa Hasan, advisory editor of Shottobani, will be the host. Actor and writer Sebastian Dunn, and Mohammed Emdaul Haque Chowdhury, president of London Bangla Press Club will be present as special guests.
The seminar is being organised Shottobani, in association with Queen Mary University of London Students’ Union.
