Sultan Mohammad Mansur, Mokabbir want to take oath on March 7

In separate letters to Speaker of the Parliament Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, the duo on Saturday afternoon expressed their willingness to take oath and join parliament on March 7.
The Gano Forum took part in the December 30 election as a key component of the Jatiya Oikya Front, an alliance of BNP and several other parties.
Mansur, a former Awami League leader and Ducsu vice-president, was elected from Moulvibazar-2 constituency while Mokabbir Khan elected from Sylhet-2 in the 11th parliamentary election.
However, Sultan Mansur vied the 11th parliamentary election with the symbol of “Sheaf of Paddy” while Mokabbir Khan with the Gano Forum’s symbol of “Rising Sun”.
The BNP got only six seats, while ruling Awami League-led grand alliance bagged 289 seats in the election.
