2nd All European Forum for Secular Bangladesh Conference held in Geneva

The 2nd All European Forum for Secular Bangladesh (Nirmul Committee) Conference was held on Saturday 26 October 2019 in Geneva, Switzerland.
The conference took place at Bangladesh Embassy auditorium, in Rue de Neuchatel, Geneva, Switzerland.
Central Nirmul Committee President Shahriar Kabir attended to make a keynote strategic presentation on working towards international recognition of Bangladesh genocide and the repatriation of Rohingya refugess. The Conference begun with screening of Shahriar Kabir’s latest documentary film ’Voice of Conscience’.
The conference was presided by All European Forum for Secular Bangladesh’s President Tarun Kanti Chowdhury and conducted by its Secretary Ansar Ahmed Ullah.
Following Shahriar Kabir’s introductory speech European branch country reports were presented by Smriti Azad, Asst Secretary, UK, Palash Barua, Secretary, Switzerland, Mohammed Masum, Secretary, Norway, M M Murshed, Asst Secrtary, Belgium and Mojibur Doptori, Convenore, Finland. Nirmul Committee’s Central Secretary Kazi Mukul summed up country reports and suggested organisational action to realise Forum for Secular Bangladesh’s goals in Europe .
The Conference adopted a comprehensive strategy to cretae awareness of extremist network in Europe & to challenge the violent narratives propagted by these groups by promoting secular human values.
In addition, strategy for creating public opinion in Europe on the international recognition of Bangladesh genocide and the repatriatin of Rohingya refugess was discussed.
Rahman Khalilur, President of Swiss Committee gave Vote of thanks and brought the conference to an end.
