RSGT Bangladesh has achieved a new milestone in vessel productivity at Patenga Container Terminal (PCT), recording a peak performance of 72 moves and 122 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) per hour during operations involving MV AMOUREUX, a CMA CGM vessel.
This achievement surpassed the previous benchmark of 58 moves and 82 TEUs per hour set in September after ship-to-shore (STS) crane operations began at the PCT in August, according to an RSGT press release.
During the latest vessel operation on 18 October, the terminal handled a total of 1,524 boxes, equivalent to 2,571 TEUs, over a 21-hour operational period.
The achievement reflects RSGT Bangladesh’s continued commitment to enhancing operational efficiency, improving vessel turnaround times, and introducing international standards of container terminal performance to Bangladesh’s maritime sector, read the press release.
Nabil Youssef, chief operating officer of RSGT Bangladesh, said, “RSGT Bangladesh deeply values the trust and confidence of our stakeholders. We remain steadfast in our commitment to setting new benchmarks in operational excellence, upholding the highest global standards, and driving sustainable growth to strengthen Bangladesh’s position in the global maritime industry.”
