Five flights involving Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia have been cancelled following the closure of Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport after a Houthi attack on October 10.
The airport is scheduled to remain closed until 3am Bangladesh time on October 12.

The affected flights are Saudia SV804/805 and SV806/807, Biman Bangladesh Airlines BG339 and BG340 and Riyadh Air RX763/764.
Saudia flights SV804/805 were scheduled to arrive in Dhaka at 11:05pm on October 10 and depart at 12:45am on October 11.
Biman’s Dhaka-Riyadh flight BG339 was scheduled to depart at 2:05am on October 11.
Saudia flights SV806/807 were scheduled to arrive at 9:45am and depart at 11:25am, while Riyadh Air flights RX763/764 were scheduled to arrive at 7am and depart at 8:30am. All times are local.
Meanwhile, US-Bangla Airlines flight BS381, which departed on October 10, was diverted, with its actual arrival recorded at 3:10am.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines has advised affected passengers not to proceed to the airport until further notice. The airline said it would provide updates on rescheduling and flight status through its official website and communication channels. Passengers can also contact its call centre or visit the nearest sales office for assistance.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh today strongly condemned the October 10 attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which killed two Bangladeshi nationals and left numerous others injured, many critically, the foreign ministry said.
The Bangladesh mission in Riyadh is in contact with Saudi authorities to obtain details of the deceased and injured Bangladeshis and facilitate necessary assistance.
Bangladesh extended condolences to the bereaved families and wished all those injured a swift and full recovery.
“Attacks endangering civilian lives and targeting civilian infrastructure are unacceptable and must cease immediately,” the ministry said.
Bangladesh reiterated its solidarity with Saudi Arabia and called for an immediate cessation of hostilities, protection of civilians and civilian infrastructure, and a peaceful resolution through dialogue and diplomacy.
