Bangladesh U-19 women registered a 13-run victory over hosts Pakistan in the tri-nation series at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad on Tuesday, moving closer to a place in the final.
Batting first, Bangladesh recovered from an early collapse to post 139-5 in 20 overs after losing two wickets for just four runs. Sadia Akter remained unbeaten on 33, while Farjana added an unbeaten 28. Captain Sadia Islam chipped in with 24 and Nishita Akter Nishi scored 20.
In reply, Pakistan made a strong start and reached 50 without loss inside six overs. Komal Khan scored 36 and Ravail Farhan made 32, but Bangladesh fought back after the first breakthrough at 69.
Farjana Easmin starred with the ball, claiming 3-25, while Nishi took 2-28 as Pakistan finished on 126-7 from their 20 overs.
