BD engages Silicon Valley leaders for tech investment

The Consulate General of Bangladesh in Los Angeles hosted a high-level CEO and Senior Executive Roundtable titled “Technology Investment and Strategic Partnerships for Bangladesh’s Growth” at the Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley on September 27.
The summit engaged prominent Silicon Valley chief executives, senior leaders, entrepreneurs, and venture capital investors to discuss investment opportunities and strategic partnerships supporting Bangladesh’s national economic growth.
A high-powered Bangladeshi delegation attended the session, led by Finance and Planning Adviser to the Prime Minister Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir.
The delegation included State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Boby Hajjaj, and Adviser to the Prime Minister for Posts, Telecommunications, Information Technology, and Science and Technology Rehan Asif Asad.
Consul General of Bangladesh in Los Angeles Kazi Muhammad Jabed Iqbal along with senior officials from the Prime Minister’s Office also participated in the proceedings.
The interactive discussion was moderated by Shamim Mohammad, Executive Vice President and Chief Information and Technology Officer of CarMax.
Prominent participants included Replit Founder and CEO Amjad Masad; Zscaler Founder, Chairman, and CEO Jay Chaudhry; and Dr Omar Ishrak, former Chairman of Intel and former Chairman and CEO of Medtronic.
The meeting brought together executives and investors spanning artificial intelligence, semiconductors, cybersecurity, space technology, digital infrastructure, venture capital, and advanced manufacturing sectors.
Discussions focused on actionable investment opportunities in semiconductor design and manufacturing, artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, healthcare technology, earth observation, venture funding, and skills development.
