Prez Mirza Fakhrul at Bangabhaban

President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir arrived at Bangabhaban on Sunday and started his first working day there.
Upon his arrival, a smartly turned-out President Guard Regiment (PGR) contingent extended him a guard of honour. A combined military band comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force played a welcome tune.
After receiving the guard of honour, Mirza Fakhrul proceeded to the office to attend the scheduled official activities.
Mirza Fakhrul was elected Bangladesh’s 23rd president on Thursday (August 20) in the presidential election held at the Jatiya Sangsad. He took oath as president on Friday night.
