Bangladesh reaffirms support for Palestine during ambassador’s call on

The Ambassador of Palestine to Bangladesh, Yousef Ramadan, paid a courtesy call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam on Sunday.
The state minister warmly welcomed the ambassador and conveyed gratitude to the Palestinian leadership for their felicitations to the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on its victory in the 13th National Parliamentary Election and the formation of the government, said a press release.
Reaffirming Bangladesh’s steadfast support for the just cause of Palestine and the brotherly Palestinian people, the state minister reiterated Bangladesh’s consistent position in favour of a two-State solution, as well as peace and stability in the Middle East.
Besides discussing ways to further strengthen bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Palestine, both sides also talked about the situation in the Middle East and the latest developments in Palestine, including the continued suffering in Gaza and West Bank.
The continued war crimes committed by the Israeli occupation army (IOA) in Lebanon and the issue of the gulf were also discussed.
