11-party bloc announces four-day prog demanding referendum verdict implementation

The Jamaat-e-Islami led 11-party opposition alliance on Tuesday announced four days of programmes to put pressure on the government to implement the constitutional reform measures endorsed in the February referendum result.

The programmes include start of a countrywide citizen awareness raising campaign and street demonstrations in support of July Charter implementation, said Maulana Mamunul Haque, leader of alliance partner Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish, at a press conference.

The press conference was held after a meeting of alliance partners at the Al Falah Auditorium, Maghbazar in the capital.
