11 die from measles, symptoms in 24 hours

At least 11 people died after developing measles symptoms, including one confirmed measles patient, in the 24 hours till Tuesday morning, said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Dhaka division saw the most fatalities with six deaths. As a district, Dhaka also topped the list of fatalities over the 24-hour period.
During 8am Monday-8am Tuesday, 1,236 people were diagnosed with measles symptoms, DGHS said in a press release, adding 224 others were confirmed measles patients.
Since 15 March, the total number of deaths from confirmed measles diagnosis have reached 21. The total number of deaths with related symptoms reached 128.
Since 15 March, the total number of patients with measles-like symptoms reached 9,883, and the total number of confirmed measles patients reached 1,398.
Around 4,635 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery over the same period.
