ACC chairman resigns

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman, Mohammad Abdul Momen, along with two commissioners have resigned from their positions.
The three officials visited the Cabinet Division at the Secretariat on Tuesday (March 3), to submit their resignation letters.
Chairman Momen was accompanied by commissioners Mia Muhammad Ali Akbar Azizi and Brigadier General (Retired) Hafiz Ahsan Farid. They were seen entering the Cabinet Division’s Building No. 1 at 2:36 pm and completed the process within 10 minutes before leaving the premises.
Speaking briefly to reporters while exiting the building, Commissioner Mia Muhammad Ali Akbar Azizi said the resignations were voluntary and carried out through proper procedure.
He emphasized that no external pressure was involved in the decision.
