‘Can hold free and fair polls, environment satisfactory’

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin has said that the atmosphere surrounding the 13th national parliament election is satisfactory so far.
On Monday, while inspecting the appeal booths upon entering the Election Commission building, the CEC said, ”It will be possible to deliver a free and fair national parliamentary election, with the cooperation of all.”
Meanwhile, the process of filing appeals with the Election Commission against the returning officers’ decision began today. Hearings will be held on these appeal applications in phases from January 10 at the auditorium of the Election Commission building in Dhaka’s Agargaon.
