Pakistan Under-19s produced a commanding all-round display to overwhelm India by a massive 191-run margin in the final of the ACC U-19 Asia Cup 2025, lifting the title in emphatic fashion at the ICC Academy in Dubai on Sunday.
The triumph marked Pakistan’s second U-19 Asia Cup crown, ending a 13-year wait.
After being sent in to bat by India, Pakistan laid the foundation for their dominance with a blistering opening stand led by Sameer Minhas.
The right-handed opener played a sensational knock, hammering 172 runs from 113 balls, laced with 17 fours and nine sixes, to completely dismantle the Indian bowling attack.
Ahmed Hussain provided solid support with a composed 56 off 72 deliveries, as Pakistan amassed a formidable 347 in their allotted 50 overs.
Among the Indian bowlers, Khilan Patel stood out with an economical spell of two wickets for 44 runs from his 10 overs, while Deepesh Devendran picked up three wickets for 83 runs.
In reply, India began with positive intent, as Vaibhav Suryavanshi struck three sixes and a four in a quickfire 26 off 10 balls.
However, his dismissal by Ali Raza triggered a dramatic collapse, with the Indian batting line-up unable to withstand Pakistan’s disciplined and incisive bowling. Deepesh Devendran offered brief resistance with a rapid 36 off 16 balls, but the outcome was never in doubt.
India were eventually bowled out for 156, handing Pakistan a comprehensive 191-run victory in the final. Ali Raza led the bowling attack with four wickets, while Mohammad Sayyam, Abdul Subham and Huzaifa Ahsan claimed two wickets each.
Sameer Minhas was named Player of the Match for his outstanding century, which set up Pakistan’s dominant march to the U-19 Asia Cup title.
