Earthquake jolts Dhaka again

A mild earthquakemeasuring 3.6 magnitude shook Dhaka and several other regions across Bangladesh on Thursday afternoon, marking the latest in a series of tremors to affect the densely populated nation.
The tremor was recorded around 4:15:47 PM, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
The tremor, originating from Ghorashal in Narsingdi at a depth of 6.2 miles, was felt in the capital, according to Rubaiyat, acting officer at the Meteorology Department’s Earthquake Monitoring Center.
Earlier, between November 21 and 22, Dhaka and its surrounding areas experienced four earthquakes in about 31 hours. One of the strongest, measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale, struck near Madhabdi, Narsingdi, about 25 kilometers from Dhaka.
That earthquake had a depth of 10 kilometers and resulted in 10 fatalities and over 600 injuries.
