Argentina to face Morocco in U-20 World Cup final

Argentina have booked their place in the final of FIFA U-20 World Cup after edging past Colombia 1-0 in the semi-final held on Thursday at Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos in Chile.
They will face Morocco in the title decider on October 20.
In the closely contested match, the breakthrough came in the 72nd minute when substitute Mateo Silvetti found the net for Argentina.
Colombia’s hopes of a comeback were further dashed just five minutes later, as they were reduced to 10 men following a red card. Unable to recover, they exited the tournament in the last four.
Earlier the same day, Morocco secured their historic first-ever spot in a U-20 World Cup final with a dramatic 5-4 victory over France in a penalty shootout after the match ended level in regulation time.
While this is Morocco’s maiden appearance in the final at this level, they are not to be underestimated.
Many players in the squad were born and raised in Europe and are products of top European club academies. Eligible through their parents, they chose to represent Morocco and have brought significant talent and experience to the side.
The final promises a fascinating clash between traditional football powerhouse Argentina and an ambitious Moroccan side eager to make history.
