Six agreements, MoUs signed between Bangladesh, Pakistan

Bangladesh and Pakistan have signed six agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
The signing took place in the presence of Bangladesh’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Tauhid Hossain and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
The bilateral meeting between the two leaders began around 10:45 AM on Sunday at Hotel Sonargaon in Dhaka. The agreements were signed following the conclusion of the talks.
The signed agreements and MoUs include: A visa exemption agreement for diplomatic and official passport holders, MoU on cultural exchange, MoU between the two countries’ foreign service academies, an agreement to form a joint working group on trade and investment, MoU between Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) and Pakistan’s strategic studies institution, MoU between Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) and Pakistan’s state news agency.
Additionally, separate MoUs were signed between standards and quality control authorities and agricultural research institutions of both countries.
It is worth noting that Mohammad Ishaq Dar arrived in Dhaka on Saturday for a two-day official visit.
