A meeting is currently underway between Foreign Adviser Touhid Hossain and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar at Hotel Sonargaon in Dhaka.
Dar arrived in the Bangladeshi capital on Saturday for a two-day official visit at the invitation of the government of Bangladesh. His visit marks a rare high-level diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
During his stay, the Pakistani minister is also scheduled to meet Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus and Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin. Further details on the agenda or outcomes of the meetings are yet to be disclosed.
