Jamaat meets Pakistan Deputy PM, FM

A high-level delegation of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami met with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Saturday afternoon during his ongoing official visit to Dhaka.
The meeting took place at the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka at around 4:45 PM and was led by Jamaat-e-Islami’s Nayeb-e-Ameer (Vice Chairman) Abdullah Muhammad Taher.
The delegation included prominent party leaders: Dr. Syed Abdullah Md. Taher, former Member of Parliament and Nayeb-e-Ameer, Professor Mia Golam Parwar, Secretary General, Maulana ATM Masum, Assistant Secretary General, Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, Central Executive Council Member and Advocate Matiur Rahman Akand, Central Executive Council Member and Secretary of the Central Publicity and Media Department.
The Pakistani side was represented by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, who also serves as Deputy Prime Minister, along with Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider and senior officials from the High Commission.
According to a statement from Jamaat-e-Islami’s Central Publicity Department, the two sides discussed the current political situation in Bangladesh, as well as the bilateral relations, development, and progress of both Pakistan and Bangladesh.
They expressed hope for enhanced cooperation between the two nations in the future, emphasizing the shared cultural, religious, and historical ties between the people of Pakistan and Bangladesh.
The meeting comes amid growing diplomatic engagement between regional actors and reflects continued interest from Pakistani leadership in engaging with a broad spectrum of Bangladeshi political stakeholders.
