Shomi Kaiser granted bail in another attempted murder case

Actress Shomi Kaiser secured bail on Monday in a murder attempt case related to July uprising.
A dual bench of the High Court (HC) granted her bail.
A CMM court on April 9 issued an arrest order against Shomi Kaiser, former e-CAB President, in a case filed over murder attempt to Jubayer Hasan Yusuf, a honour student of Tongi Government College.
The case statement said Jubayer took part in the student movement on August 4 last year. When their procession reached Uttara Azampur area, suddenly the accused started firing which left Jubayer injured.
The victim filed a case on August 22 accusing 11 named and 150 to 200 unnamed individuals.
Earlier on March 12, the actress granted bail in another attempted murder case filed with Uttara East Police Station.
Shomi Kaiser was arrested on November 5 last year and later sent to jail on November 9 by a Dhaka court.
