5 killed in Sylhet road crash

Five individuals, including a child, were killed when a truck rammed into a private car on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway at Osmaninagar upazila of Sylhet district on Sunday.
The accident occured around 7.30 AM at Unishmile area of the upazila.
Four of the deceased were identified as Sohel, 40, Shamima, 40, Ety Begum, 35, and Ayan, 7, while the identity of another victim could not be known yet.
“The accident occurred around 7:30 am when the truck hit the private car, leaving two people killed on the spot and three others injured,” said Md Ashrafuzzaman, Superintendent of Police (Osmaninagar-Biswanath circle).
The injured were taken to a local hospital where the other victims succumbed to their injuries.
