Youth arrested over mother-son murder in Sunamganj

Police arrested a youth over allegations of killing a mother and her son in Hasan Nagar area in Sunamganj’s Sadar upazila on Tuesday night.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police conducted a drive in Savar area around 8 pm and arrested Fahmid, a resident of Bishwamvarpur upazila in Sunamganj district, said Superintendent of Police AFM Anowar Hossain Khan.

Earlier, a woman and her son were hacked to death by some unidentified miscreants at their house in Hasan Nagar area of Sunamganj town on Tuesday.

Nazmul Haque, officer-in-charge of Sunamganj Sadar Police Station, said that tehy are searching for the others involved in the murder.
