PM, UAE envoy eye expanding trade, investment

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Ambassador of United Arab Emirates to Bangladesh Abdulla Ali Abdulla AlHmoudi held a meeting at the former’s office in the Secretariat on Monday.

During the meeting, both sides discussed expanding trade and investment, increasing employment for Bangladesh’s skilled manpower, and strengthening cooperation in sectors including energy, infrastructure, aviation, ICT, railways and logistics, said a press release.

State Minister-1 for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir, Invest Bangladesh Authority Chairman Ashik Chowdhury were present on behalf of the Bangladesh side, while senior officials of the UAE Embassy in Dhaka participated on behalf of their government.
