Two killed as motorcycle collides with three-wheeler in Habiganj

Habiganj Correspondent : Two people were killed and two others injured in a collision between a “tomtom” (battery-operated three-wheeler) and a motorcycle at Chandpur Tea Estate in Chunarughat upazila in Habiganj friday.
The injured have been taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The accident occurred at 5:00pm, said Chunarughat Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Saiful Islam.
The deceased were identified as Mohaddis Khan, 20, of Halhalia village in Chunarughat, and Sheikh Nayan Miah, 20, of Satong village in the same upazila.
The OC said the victims had gone for a ride to the Chandi Ramganga Tea Estate area on a motorcycle. On their way back, the motorcycle collided with a tomtom, resulting in their deaths on the spot.
Upon receiving the news, a team from Chunarughat Police Station arrived at the site and recovered the bodies.
Necessary legal proceedings regarding the accident are currently underway, the OC added.
