Pink buses to run on 9 specific routes

The Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation has introduced the Pink buses on nine specific routes in and around Dhaka for ensuring safe journeys for women passengers. The buses will be fully run by women bus drivers and conductors with connectivity from all vital places of Dhaka to Motijheel and GPO.

These include Notun Bazar (Coca Cola)-Motijheel route via Badda, Rampura, Malibagh, Kakrail, Paltan and Gulistan; Demra Staff Quarters-GPO/Motijheel route via Jatrabari, Wari, Gulistan, Paltan and Matsya Bhaban; and a number of Mirpur-Motijheel routes, such as Mirpur-10 and Mirpur-12.

Besides, there will also be an additional Mohammadpur-Motijheel route through Shankar, Jigatala, Dhanmondi-15, City College, New Market, Elephant Road, Shahbagh and Paltan.

The Abdullahpur-Motijheel route includes Airport, Khilkhet, Kuril, Banani, Mohakhali, Farmgate, Shahbagh and Press Club route; while pink buses will run on the Narayanganj-Motijheel and Gazipur-Airport routes.

Pink bus service will be also available on Kalurghat-Patenga route in Chattogram and Sherpur-Matidali route in Bogura.
