Pakistan envoy meets industries minister, discusses expanding trade and industrial cooperation

Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider paid a courtesy call on Industries Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir at his office on Tuesday (7 April), where both sides discussed ways to expand bilateral trade and investment.
During the meeting, they explored opportunities to enhance cooperation in the industrial sector and addressed various issues of mutual interest.
The industries minister said there is considerable scope for joint initiatives between Bangladesh and Pakistan to make existing trade relations more dynamic, placing particular emphasis on strengthening collaboration in sectors such as sugar, textiles, pharmaceuticals and leather.
High Commissioner Imran Haider praised Bangladesh’s industrial progress and its investment-friendly environment, expressing interest in encouraging Pakistani entrepreneurs to invest in the country.
He also underscored the importance of increasing communication and partnerships between business communities of the two nations.
Both sides expressed optimism about working together to boost industrial cooperation and expand bilateral trade.
Senior officials from the Ministry of Industries, including Secretary Md Obaidur Rahman, as well as representatives from the Pakistan High Commission, were present at the meeting.
