First Eid congregation held at Baitul Mukarram

The first congregation of Eid-ul-Fitr prayers was held at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque on Saturday morning in a solemn yet festive atmosphere.
The prayer was held at 7:00am, led by the mosque’s Senior Pesh Imam, Maulana Mizanur Rahman.
Before the prayer, he delivered a sermon (bayan), offering religious guidance and advice to the gathered worshippers.
A total of five Eid congregations are scheduled to be held at the national mosque. Following the first jamaat, the remaining four will take place at 8:00am, 9:00am, 10:00am and 10:45am respectively.
The second congregation will be led by Pesh Imam Mufti Muhibbullahil Baqi Nadvi, while the third will be led by Deputy Director of the Islamic Foundation Bangladesh, Maulana Md Zakir Hossain.
The fourth congregation will be conducted by Maulana Zobayer Ahmed Al Azhari, a religious instructor at the Imam Training Academy, and the fifth and final jamaat will be led by Mufti Maulana Mohammad Abdullah of the Islamic Foundation.
Maulana Shahidul Islam, Assistant Librarian of the Islamic Foundation, has been kept ready as a reserve imam for the Eid congregations.
