Speaker, Dy Speaker honour martyrs at Nat’l Memorial

Speaker of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad, Major (Retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, Bir Bikram, along with Deputy Speaker Barrister Kaiser Kamal, paid tribute to the martyrs of the Liberation War by laying wreaths at the National Memorial in Savar on Friday.
The wreaths were placed at the altar of the memorial around 10:15 AM.
Following the ceremony, the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker observed a brief period of silence to honour the memory of the brave freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence.
After the tribute, they signed the visitors’ book at the memorial premises.
