34 Bangladeshi companies participate in Gulfood-2026

A total of 72 exhibitors representing from 34 Bangladeshi business enterprises are participating in the Gulfood-2026, the world’s largest international trade fair for Food & Beverage products, held in United Arab Emirates (UAE) under the “Bangladesh Pavilion”.
The 31st edition of Gulfood 2026 is being held from 26–30 January 2026 simultaneously at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC), Expo City, Dubai.
The event brings together more than 8,500 leading Food & Beverage manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, wholesalers/retailers, policymakers, and industry innovators from over 190 countries worldwide.
With funding from the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) under the Ministry of Commerce, Bangladesh participates in various international trade fairs across the world to accelerate export growth. As part of this ongoing initiative, the Bangladeshi companies are participating there, according to a press release on Monday.
The Gulfood 2026 showcases over 1.5 million varieties of food products, along with dedicated segments for logistics startups and grocery businesses, and the inclusion of Plus AI-powered matchmaking for global Food & Beverage entrepreneurs and business leaders, adding a new dimension to the event.
At the Bangladesh Pavilion, a wide range of value-added food products are being showcased, including processed foods, frozen foods, snacks, spices, rice, various beverages, agro-based indigenous products, and other food items.
Participating Bangladeshi companies will engage with interested visitors, buyers, marketers, and wholesale and retail business representatives from around the world, exchanging views and building business relationships through B2B networking.
Representatives of the participating firms expressed strong optimism that their participation in this five-day international exhibition, along with extensive B2B networking, will further strengthen Bangladesh’s position in the global Food & Beverage sector—particularly in the agro-processed food market—and open new avenues for agricultural export growth.
On the opening day of the five-day exhibition, the Bangladesh Pavilion was formally inaugurated by Tareq Ahmed, ambassador of Bangladesh to the UAE.
Present on the occasion were Md Rasheduzzaman, consul general of Bangladesh in Dubai; Md Wares Hossain, director (fairs), EPB; Ashish Kumar Sarker, commercial counsellor; Md Abdul Kader, assistant secretary, Ministry of Commerce, along with other officials of the Bangladesh Mission.
