The hearing of a corruption case against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and her nieces Tulip Siddiq — a British MP — and Azmina Siddiq Ruponti–was ended on Tuesday.
After hearing, Judge Rabiul Alam of the Dhaka Special Judges Court-4 set February 2 to deliver its judgement.
Earlier, on January 5, the court had brought the testimony in the case to an end. Investigation officer, ACC Assistant Director Afnan Jannat Keya had testified earlier that day as the last prosecution witness and was later cross-examined by the defence.
A total of 31 witnesses testified in the case.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the case against 16 on January 13, 2025, and submitted a chargesheet on March 10 against the 18.
