6 more die of dengue, 788 hospitalised

Six more people died of dengue while 788 patients were hospitalised across the country in the past 24 hours, raising the total fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 349 this year.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS)., three deaths occurred in Rajshahi Division, two in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and one in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).
During the same period, 788 new dengue patients were hospitalised, bringing the total cases this year to 87,712, with 87 in Barishal (outside city corporation), 108 in Chattogram (outside city corporation), 130 in Dhaka (outside city corporation), 166 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 86 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 66 in Khulna (outside city corporation), 54 in Mymensingh (outside city corporation), 88 in Rajshahi (outside city corporation), and 3 in Sylhet (outside city corporation).
The DGHS continues to urge residents to take precautions to prevent mosquito breeding and protect themselves from dengue.
