Priyanka Chopra’s first look as Mandakini unveiled

The makers of SS Rajamouli’s much-anticipated action-adventure, starring Mahesh Babu, have unveiled the first look of Priyanka Chopra Jonas as Mandakini, marking her grand return to Indian cinema.

The film, tentatively titled SSMB29 and rumored to be officially named Globetrotter, marks Chopra’s first collaboration with the RRR and Baahubali director. In the striking character poster, she appears in a mustard-yellow saree, holding a gun and standing authoritatively on rocky terrain amid dramatic winds. Sharing the image on social media, Priyanka wrote, “She’s more than what meets the eye… say hello to Mandakini.”

Globetrotter is being described as one of the most ambitious Indian productions in recent years, reportedly inspired by African exploration tales. Earlier, Rajamouli revealed Mahesh Babu’s rugged first look on the actor’s 50th birthday, featuring a rudraksh mala with trishul and Nandi pendants, hinting at the film’s mythic and spiritual layers.

The director also introduced Prithviraj Sukumaran’s menacing character, Kumbha, described as “sinister and ruthless,” shown in an all-black ensemble seated in a high-tech wheelchair.

The filmmakers announced that the movie’s official title and full first-look teaser will be unveiled on November 15 at a grand event at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, which will be live-streamed on JioHotstar.
