‘Clash of interest’ in Dr Yunus’s role: Salahuddin

There is a ‘conflict of interest’ in Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus’s dual role as the head of the government and the chief of the National Consensus Commission, commented BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed on Wednesday.

”There is a clear clash of interest here. This government is responsible for implementing the July Charter. As a political party, we will cooperate, participate in the elections and encourage the people. But the recommendations that have been submitted to the government, I would say, deviated significantly from the spirit in which the July National Charter was signed.”
