3 killed, 30 injured as buses collided head-on in Habiganj

Three individuals were killed and at least thirty others injured when two passenger buses collided head-on in Shayestaganj upazila of Habiganj district on Tuesday afternoon.
The identities of the deceased and injured are yet to be known.
According to locals, the incident occurred at around 12 PM on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway near Kadamtoli area when a passenger bus travelling to Comilla collided head-on with another bus coming from the opposite direction toward Sylhet. Two individuals died on the spot, while at least thirty others were injured.
Later, locals and law enforcers quickly rushed to the spot, rescued the victims and took them to Habiganj Sadar Modern Hospital, where another person succumbed to injuries. Ten seriously injured passengers have been admitted to the hospital.
Shayestaganj Highway Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Abu Taher confirmed the incident.
