Pakistan envoy meets Foreign Affairs Adviser in Dhaka

Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Imran Haider, paid his maiden courtesy call on Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain at Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka on Thursday, according to a press release from the ministry.
During the meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction over the recent momentum in bilateral engagements, including the exchange of high-level ministerial visits.
They highlighted the visit of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister to Bangladesh in August 2025 as a positive step toward strengthening ties.
The two officials also referred to the successful 6th round of Foreign Secretary–level Bilateral Consultations held in Dhaka in April 2025 and looked forward to the 9th meeting of Joint Economic Commission, scheduled to take place in Dhaka on October 27, 2025, after a long interval.
Adviser Hossain noted with appreciation the progress made in several areas of cooperation between the two countries, particularly in simplifying visa procedures and resuming air connectivity.
Both sides discussed a range of bilateral issues and emphasized the importance of deepening collaboration across multiple sectors.
The foreign affairs adviser assured the high commissioner of all possible cooperation during his tenure in Bangladesh.
