Spanish midfielder Marco Asensio has completed a move from Paris Saint-Germain to Turkish giants Fenerbahce on transfer deadline day, both clubs confirmed on Monday.
Fenerbahce announced the permanent transfer via social media, stating that the 29-year-old has signed a 3+1 year deal, though the transfer fee remains undisclosed.
Asensio joined PSG from Real Madrid in 2023 after a highly successful stint at the Spanish club, where he won three Champions League titles and three La Liga championships. He spent the latter half of the 2024–25 season on loan at Premier League side Aston Villa, scoring eight goals in 21 appearances across all competitions.
A Spanish international with 38 caps and two goals, Asensio was last called up to the national team in 2023.
He arrives at Fenerbahce following the recent departure of manager Jose Mourinho, who left after the club failed to qualify for the Champions League in late August.
Turkish media reports suggest Fenerbahce are also close to finalising the signing of Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson from Manchester City.
