Fardin honored by Sylhet district Chhatra Dal

Masum Billal Fardin — a popular music artist and diplomatic member — has been working for the cultural and social development between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

During the oppressive fascist regime, he endured imprisonment and torture, yet he continued to stand strong in political, social, and cultural progress.

Recently, upon the invitation of the Netherlands, Masum Billal attended the Bangladesh vs Netherlands T20 International Cricket Match in Sylhet. There, he was honored and warmly appreciated by Sylhet District Chhatra Dal.

Organizational candidate Suman Ahmed said, “Fardin Bhai is my idol. Since 2015, he has silently contributed a lot to Sylhet District Chhatra Dal. Whenever there is any crisis, he is the first to step forward. Even after serving 9 months in prison in 2023, he always stood with us. He is the guardian of Sylhet and a trusted companion of our beloved former Mayor, Ariful Haque. He deserved this honor long ago; perhaps we just could not give it to him at the right time.”

In an emotional voice, Masum Billal Fardin again said, ”I am truly overwhelmed. I could not hold back my tears. Thank you Sylhet District Chhatra Dal for remembering me. Today, I feel I have truly become unforgettable.”
