How to get 1GB free internet today

Mobile phone operators will provide customers with 1GB of free internet data today (Friday).

The data will be valid for five days, said a notice issued by the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) on Wednesday.

The BTRC stated that the free internet is being offered to commemorate the July Uprising Day, fulfill public expectations, and serve the public interest. On July 18, all customers will receive 1GB of free data valid for five days.

Brigadier General S.M. Moniruzzaman, Director General of the BTRC Spectrum Division, said the instruction was issued on July 9 based on directives from the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications dated July 3 and a meeting held on July 8 chaired by the commission’s Vice-Chairman.

According to the directive, all mobile phone subscribers across the country must receive 1GB of free internet with a validity of five days on July 18.

The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications has informed that to receive the free data, customers can dial the following codes:
