Another accused in Sohag murder arrested

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested another accused in the case over the brutal killing of Lal Chand alais Sohag near Mitford Hospital.

Lt Col HM Sajjad Hossain, Commanding Officer of RAB-11, said a special team conducted a drive around 2AM in Narayanganj’s Bandar area and arrested accused Nannu.

Nannu was one of four people seen in a viral video attacking the 39-year-old trader with bricks and cement blocks to ensure his death.

With this, eight people have been arrested in the case so far.

On Sunday (July 13), two other accused—Sajib and Rajib—were arrested from Dhaka and Netrakona. They have, later, been put on a five-day remand for questioning.
