Inter Milan reinforced by Pavard’s return; PSG brings back Dembélé in UCL final

Published: 01 June 2025, 3:31:39

For UEFA Champions League final, both teams have made strategic adjustments. For Inter Milan, the return of French defender Benjamin Pavard, who has recovered from injury, is a major boost.

Pavard’s inclusion strengthens their defense and brings added experience to the squad. To make room for him, Yann Bisseck has been dropped.

On the PSG side, the absence of Osman Dembélé in second leg of the semifinal against Arsenal raised some eyebrows, but the winger is now back in the starting XI.

Dembélé replaces Bradley Barcola, who had filled in during the previous match. Coach Luis Enrique has opted to largely stick with the squad that secured a strong first-leg performance in the semis.

PSG’s Starting XI:

Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, Willyan Pacho, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz, Djaziri Doué, Osman Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Inter Milan’s Starting XI:

Yann Sommer, Benjamin Pavard, Francesco Acerbi, Alessandro Bastoni, Denzel Dumfries, Nicolò Barella,Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Federico Dimarco, Marcus Thuram, Lautaro Martínez.
